New façade and illuminated signs
After several months’ work, the new facade of the Grand Rex was inaugurated on Thursday, to mark the 90th anniversary of this legendary venue and the world’s largest cinema.
Actif Signal created the flag and roof signs, identical to those of 1932, revisited with today’s technologies.
The summit sign is the largest illuminated rotating sign in Paris – 6 letters 2.5 meters high with 672 warm white LED bulbs, installed on a rotating structure.
The flag sign covers the 17-metre-high watchtower – 6 x 2.5-metre letters illuminated by 672 warm-white Led bulbs, a 17-metre arrow illuminated by 248 animated red bulbs.
